Equally enjoyable and destructive, everything in ‘Bengal Sparks’

sound as though it is at war with itself, and yet they’re locked in

a joyous entanglement of musical dynamics. It’s a wash of

technicolour excitement and digital flourishes, and while it’s not

always coherent, it’s always entertaining.

Der Kangkosmonaut Lutz Nikolaus Kratzer nennt sein Projekt .KLEIN , klingt aber alles andere als das. Dem Hamburger ist kein Style, kein Genre, keine Strömung fern. Auf seinem dritten Album »Bengal Sparks« vermischt er Elemente aus HipHop, Funk, Electronica und Alternative-Pop zu einem durch die Bank dynamischen, lebendigen, flirrend funkelnden Gesamtkunstwerk. Das macht auf ähnliche Art und Weise seit langer Zeit ein König seiner Zunft namens Beck Hansen. Eine spannende Platte.

The Album had plenty of time to grow and evolve into an exquisite yet wild soundgarment. trying to break this music down into a style is unnecessary. The variety itselfdefines the sound of . K L E I N without being crossover.

though, describing the soundscape of . K L E I N sure does lead you toward shoe gaze, exotica, hip-hop, indietronic, cineastic pop. well, call it crossover if you will!

he received his musical initiation at the tender age of six years as a drummer and percussionist. you can tell as you hear decisive beats buttressing the cineastic sound.

he's interested in all instruments of the world, except for the panpipe, layering it all into non-ethno popmusic.
